About the Evaluation System

Using the Evaluation System

The Evaluation system implements all of the same interfaces as the Production system, except the web pages and reports are clearly marked to show they are test artifacts, not genuine business transactions. In the evaluation system all customer orders and payments you create are for test purposes only.

Once you've discovered what Pay it @POST can do for your business and understood the interface specifications in this site, you can test the changes to your e-Commerce system against the Evaluation system.

In this section you'll find brief instructions for using the Evaluation system to simulate some parts of the system to which you won't have access in the Production system. These are:

Simulate a customer making the payment at a post office.

Simulate Australia Post carrying out settlement of payments.

As the starting point for your own test plans, see the checklist. Your Evaluation system Merchant ID and password are valid for up to 90 days. If you wish to extend that period, contact Australia Post.

Registering for Access (to the Evaluation System)

Your first step towards letting the Pay it @POST service work for you is to select the Register option from the menu above.

When you register, we will ask you a number of questions. The information you provide is to assist us in making your trial of Pay it @POST as smooth as possible. It will not be passed on to any other organisation.

Once you've registered, our web server will automatically send your Merchant ID code and password to the e-mail address you supplied. These codes are good for 90 days, after which time you will need to re-register if you have not yet finished your evaluation process.
